| Russian book store Easy Book review of Books about Russia or Russians Russian bureaucracy, state policy, culture Dead souls Written over a century ago novel is nothing short of a comedy on the subject of Russian bureaucracy. Ukrainian born well know author Gogol (not Google which is a search engine) describes how one clever man can take an advantage of the government subsidies. This would be a highly recommended reading to anyone interested in doing business in Russia. Much has changed since then and much is left intact. Many of the characters are still alive and well in real life and one will notice them among Russians as well as among Americans, French, Germans etc. Want to have a review on this site?
